I would blame Sony. They could have done so much better from the start of PS3 launch. They trusted too much that they don't need any marketing at all (ok there's some but lame).
Killzone2 is one of the games you should buy if you play with your PS3, but I guess people mostly watch movies.
Max Payne 3 is going to rock if they actually make it, but that image is fake.
Because most of them are killed by THE HYPE (can't live up to the hype)
Also most of the PS3 owners bought PS3 for blu-ray movies. Not because it's a gaming consoles as well.

Gaming business is pure competition. PS3 did rise the bar and rest has to follow or at least try to follow.
Microsoft surely will try to beat Killzone2 with some other game, it may not be possible to reach the quality of Killzone 2 (what comes to graphics) but I'm sure MS will pay some devs to make it happen.
Attention to detail in Killzone2 is just incredible. 360 has yet to show a game with as good visuals (texture/detail wise).

Firstly, Little Big Planet is a game that everyone can enjoy who have PS3.
Community games for 360 on the other hand works only in minority of countries where 360 is available. USA and I guess some of the European countries, but many countries are still without MANY MANY MANY services that Xbox 360 offers in USA.
Therefore most of the 360 users are based in USA. Rest of the world is not that important for Microsoft it seems. Too bad.
